Beste Familie,
Ik kende An via mijn moeder Alice.
Beste Familie.
Wij hebben An leren kennen via onze moeder/schoonmoeder.
Bedankt daarvoor. Je zal worden gemist.
Ann was a strong, clever and warm woman. She had such generosity of spirit and welcomed me and my family into her home in Sneek with open arms. Always Oma to my children and a lovely friend to me, she will be sorely missed. Sincere condolences to all the family.
My heartfelt condolences to the family for their loss of An and her cheerful good nature and vitality. She was a person who injected oxygen into the air around heroxygen which had a vivifying effect on all around. May she RIP and live on in people's memories.
Ann was always a big part of our Kroon family. She was my mother's best friend and she helped our family to settle into our new house in Blacktown after moving there from the migrant hostel. Our families were closely linked - many nights of card games for the adults as we teenagers watched Bonanza and other TV shows at each others houses. Lots of gezellige parties together and family celebrations. Ann was a kind and beautiful person and will be very much missed and our condolences to Rene, Jurate, Alexis, Hendrik, Andre, Helen and familiy, Marcel and Sandra.
Dear An. You will be very missed. My deepest sympathy to Rene, Andre, Marcel and all family members.
We remember Antje as a wonderfully warm, intelligent and kind person. We first met her in 1983 when we journeyed to Sneek to spend a few days with Ann and her husband. They were attentive and friendly hosts. We made sure to catch up with them on their visits to Australia, the last couple of trips being Ann solo. We know she led a fulfilling, community focused life in Sneek. Truly a life well lived!
My Oma was an incredible mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Our contact was limited to WhatsApp over the last decade, but I still felt the same warmth and love I always knew as a child. My deepest condolences to Marcel and Andre today. I am sorry we cannot be together but thankful I can be with my father Rene.
Before I met Antje in person she asked me to call her Oma. I couldnt, and was sure i had misheard or misunderstood her intimate request until we visited her in Holland to meet her baby granddaughter Lenny for the first time. On this visit, she again asked me to call her Oma. This time I did and continued to. It was a simple but loving invitation to be part of the family and i will always remember her warmth.
